No. Hail falls under comprehensive coverage, which is legally classified as an act of God in every state we operate in. That is completely separate from an at-fault accident. Your rates cannot increase from a single comprehensive hail claim. This is confirmed by the Colorado Division of Insurance.
I have a deductible. Does that mean I pay something?+
We cover deductibles up to $1,000. The large majority of comprehensive deductibles are $500 or less. For most people, out-of-pocket cost is literally zero. If yours is higher, we'll discuss it at the inspection before anything moves forward.
Honestly, my car looks fine to me.+
That's what most people say before their inspection. Hail damage often isn't visible without specialized lighting. We find damage in 95% of inspections that the owner had no idea was there. Worst case: your car is genuinely fine and you leave with a $50 gift card.
How is PDR different from a regular body shop?+
PDR is faster, better, and leaves no record. No sanding, no repainting, no mismatched panels. Your original factory paint stays intact. CARFAX stays clean. Repair takes 3 to 5 days instead of the 3 to 6 months you'd wait at a conventional body shop for the same damage.
Is there a deadline to file my claim?+
Most policies require filing within 30 to 60 days of the storm, though some allow up to a year. Beyond the deadline, there's a practical risk: adjuster schedules fill fast during storm season, and a second storm before you repair can push damage into conventional body work territory. Sooner is better.
What if the insurance estimate seems low?+
Initial adjuster estimates written outside routinely miss 25 to 40% of actual damage. We bring the adjuster to our shop under proper hail lighting, document everything correctly, and file a supplement when needed. We do that in 95% of cases. You don't argue with anyone. We handle it.
How do I know if my insurance covers this?+
Almost every modern full coverage policy includes comprehensive, which covers hail. If you have full coverage rather than liability only, you're almost certainly covered. I'll confirm it with you in the first five minutes of the inspection. No commitment required.
